The methodology of Skill Training differs in different Nation.
In different Institute of Skill training in India it is not uniform. To overcome this inequality of training we had taken up this matter seriously from IIW India.
Our own NWTCS scheme demonstrate its uniqueness in Skill Training in Welding and Cutting area. Here we have to acknowledge the importance of multi-tasking, the buzz word of the day.
The Govt. of India realised the same and rolled out National Occupational Standards (NOS) under the umbrella of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Ministry. We were part of the team for development of all Welding and Cutting Nos since inception in different SSC’s.
The main objective is to standardize the course curriculum and uniform delivery system throughout India.
The Skill Training broadly consist of two parts, namely Theory and Practical. We will try to elaborate the same briefly.
The global practice of International Training and Certification along with different organizational training will also be discussed. However, we should not forget the importance of the human factor and main pivot of the Skill ecosystem, i.e., Trainer.

With new technologies emerging in the welding field with new hardware, materials, consumables along with job-specific welder competence and change of industry requirement is the prime driving force for Welding Professional’s Training.
The gap between the demand and supply of qualified and certified personnel may not be fulfilled if we are unable to augment the output. Industry participation along with Govt. initiative will help us to meet the certified employable welding professionals.
The pedagogy of training along with the different elements are to be understood by all stakeholders and have to be implemented in proper way to achieve the desired goal.
SSCs under the guidelines on NSDC and international partners have taken various steps in this regard. The way we go about achieving the target is the ultimate goal.
The different Commission of the IIW international’s viewpoints in this regard is also to be considered. The art of science of teaching skill development has multiple components, each are equally important and need to be addressed properly with the practice of theory of multiple intelligence.
